To help our understanding of the Trinity. We used milk, three different food colourings and dishwashing liquid. We put some milk in a dish, added a few drops of each colour and then a drop of dishwashing liquid. The colours swirled together to create the most beautiful patterns. The separate colours originally represent the 3 persons of the Trinity - The Father, The Son and The Holy Spirit. Adding the dishwashing liquid shows how the 3 are one.
