Sailing Week 7

A number of you are off sailing this week.  You will have a lesson at the Nelson Yacht Club on either Monday, Tuesday, Thursday or Friday.  Please check the notice you were given on Friday for your group.
We will leave school at approximately 11.15am and return at 2.45pm. The following gear is required

• Quick drying clothing
• Wind/Waterproof to go in the water with
• Wetsuit (if you have one)
• Buoyancy aid (if you have one, but will be provided by the club)
• Swimwear
• Shoes that you can wear in the sea
• 2 Towels
• Sun block & Sun Hat
• Thermals
• water bottle
• Packed lunch and a snack

Parents are most welcome to come down and watch the children. If you have any queries please contact Ms Dodd.

Monty prepared a meal and invited some very privileged guests along to sample his cooking.  He was an amazing host and the meal was delicious. Thanks Jonty!!

School Gala

Keep bringing in your items for the gala! 

Our class raffle theme is Black and White - anything that fits this colour theme, could be liquorice, could be white chocolate, anything penguin/zebra related! Stationery in these colours, black socks, black and white napkins, white candles, black and white packaged toiletries, black shoe polish, the idea is to get looking for black and white!

Now's the time to really clean out your room, there is a stall for books and toys and another for white elephant items.  Give your soft toys a wash before bringing them.  Books, toys and white elephant items can be dropped into Weka during gala week.

Hoiho Swimming

We are really enjoying our swimming lessons especially on the hot days!!

A busy week in Hoiho

A great start to 2016!

We had a fantastic start to the new year in Hoiho.  We welcome Emily and Amy to year 7 and Hayley to year 8.  Our class also has 2 resident goldfish who need new names.
Margeaux is running a competition this week, email her with your suggestions.  One entry per goldfish!!
